Dive into your body’s fascial system — our largest sensory organ — and discover the key to optimal health.
In this class you will learn how to utilize essential tools, like foam rollers, inflatable balls, resistance bands, and more to massage, stretch, restore, and strengthen your body’s fascia. By nourishing this vital connective tissue, you will relieve muscle soreness and tightness. Through releasing congestion and blockages, you will be able to more efficiently engage your core. In addition, this practice improves posture, increases range of motion, and simply feels fabulous.
What is fascia? It is the weblike, layered network of connective tissue that surrounds and holds every organ, blood vessel, bone, nerve fiber, and muscle. In addition to providing internal structure, fascia has nerves that make it as sensitive as skin. It is also where our lymphatic system lives. It is designed to stretch as we move. Furthermore, it needs to be flexible and hydrated. However, internal and external stresses can cause fascia to thicken and become congested. This can cause it to dry up and tighten around your muscles, which can limit mobility and cause painful knots to develop, among other negative effects.
